A day of Ups and Downs
Travelling Salesman by Kristoffer
(This actually posted by Mike Bradshaw, but he is currently behind a slow Internet connection on the ferry, so posting it for him)
It was a beautiful winter morning when I set out to check the Landy and make sure she was already to go. We checked the fluids and re-installed the barrier between the front and rear of the Landy (useful as a head
restraint for any middle row passengers). We then gave her a clean, before finally popping round to check out the sauna. The guys had added a couple of extra touches, that will make things more pleasant for everyone at LeWeb!
We also met with Kalle from Foodie.fm, who transferred some "goodies" to the Landy as so far there were no startups wanting to ride-share.
You can certainly feel the extra weight of the sauna I am towing, but it was not until I got chance to see the video, that I realised the sauna had already taken a slight short cut over the roundabout, before even arriving at the ferry!
It's a mid-sized boat, with a tiny bar, and nothing much to do in the evenings, other than to throw up your dinner due to the storm. Bad timing to discover you suffer from sea-sickness in storms :( I headed out of the cabin, to get some air, but it was cold and windy, so settled into a seat that had a view of the helipad, and managed to doze for short periods of time.
The sea finally calmed down as the boat was reaching Poland, and I was able to get a shower and a lie down for a short nap. Hopefully things will begin to improve now!
